What are Minimally Invasive Porcelain Veneers?

"No tooth grinding" porcelain veneers are a thin layers of porcelain that are bonded to your natural teeth. None or very little of your natural tooth structure has to be removed thereby saving your natural teeth. The shape and color of your teeth can be significantly improved and your smile can be natural-looking, even if your teeth are crooked. "Instant Braces" are using porcelain veneers or porcelain crowns that make crooked teeth look perfectly straight in a one to three week period of time.

Your dentist has to be highly skilled in the latest ceramic systems available and be able to artistically and three dimensionally develop the shapes and shades of the porcelain. The dentist - ceramist team is critical in order to get a natural result. Lumineers, by Cerinate, is one of the many dental ceramic lab companies that make thin porcelain shells that fit your tooth structure. There are some treatment complications that have to be overcome with all types of porcelain work such as: bulky-looking veneers, not enough color change, fake looking porcelain that is too opaque, flat porcelain surfaces and square shaped tooth contours. This patient flew all the way from Europe to get the highest level of care possible. She wanted whiter teeth, a wider smile (to fill out her lips), better shapes to her natural teeth which had gaps.
